Maintaining a Healthy Diet

healthy diet

I remember people always use to say "You are what you eat". I use to think that it was just a popular saying, but then I grew up to realize that it was actually true. Whatever you are putting into your body will affect your physical appearance in weight, skin, hair, and health. If you are putting fatty, greasy, unhealthy foods in your body it will most likely have a toll on your appearance like weight gain, bad skin, and health issues. But if you are putting healthy good foods in your body your body will love it and you will be able to see your body benefiting from the healthy foods you are putting into your body, like clearer skin, a healthier body weight, and less health issues. If you are eating bad foods you will more likely look like your tired, and unhealthy. In-taking healthier foods will allow your body to become more energized, healthy, and beautiful.
EAT HEALTHY LOOK BEAUTIFUL !

Benefits of Using Vitamin E Oil

Benefits of Vitamin E Oil for Skin

Vitamin E -oil contains antioxidant properties extracted from nuts or even vegetable oil. These properties help to repair any damage to the skin. In 2011 I had gotten into a terrible car accident which had left me with many scars, scrapes. I had a huge scar on my forehead, behind my left ear, left shoulder, and a huge scrape on my knee. This accident ending up leaving me with a lot of scarring, and discoloration. When I went to my Doctor he had recommended that I try using Vitamin E oil. The first couple of weeks I immediately started to see a difference in my skin and the scarring was starting to fade away. In about a month's time my skin was almost back to normal. There are many benefits of using vitamin e oil like preventing stretch marks, fade acne scars, heal burns, eczema. Vitamin E oil also helps to enhance the texture, and quality of your hair, and stimulates hair growth.

How I Use It!

I personally love using coconut oil on my hair, and skin. While using it on my hair I melt 1 1/2 cup of coconut oil and mix it with my favorite leave-in or regular conditioner. I apply it to dry or damp hair in 6 sections. Working my way up from the ends of my hair to the scalp I make sure that my hair is fully coated with the oil and conditioner. I apply a plastic shower cap and leave it in for 2-3 hours then rinse cool warm water. When using coconut oil on my skin I generally just rub and apply to the area needed. When using it on my face I rub the oil on, and leave it for 5 minutes then wash it off with cool water, and it helps my face feel moisturized and smooth.

My Natural Hair Journey

Growing up wearing braids and weaves did a numerous amount of damage to my hair. In 2010 my first year of high school I was looking for a change, and I decided to start wearing my real hair. It was very challenging because I did not know what styles, and products to use in my hair. My cousin who did hair told me to search on Youtube on how to take care of natural hair. Ever since then I became addicted to watching Youtube videos, and trying out the products they used in the videos, and the styles that they wore. In a year I started seeing improvement in the thickness, and growth in my hair. I started deep conditioning, doing hot oil treatments, and regularly trimming my ends. I suggest to people that are new to being natural to go on Youtube, and do some research, and watch videos to see what kind of protective styles than can be done so you can retain length, and treatments and products that can help to make your hair healthier.
